Around the Emerald City

I spent a week in Seattle, WA recently for training and decided to take my camera along.  I was graced with two day of GORGEOUS weather!  Hardly a cloud in site, it felt wonderful!  I spent all week walking to and from everywhere I wanted or needed..  Here is some of Seattle's Beauty that I was blessed with over the short week I was there.

Bruschetta from my dinner the first night and water in a chilled wine bottle.  Delicious!!

The Martin Family

Dad came home for R&R, Brody turned one, so Mom decided it was a great time for pictures!  The Martin's are easily one of the most beautiful families I have ever worked with (ok, maybe I think all of the families I work with are beautiful but everyone is different all the same, right?).  The plan was to capture some of little Brody all on his own along with the family together.  Brody was a breeze to work with, always staying exactly where we placed him and never crying a single time.  Dad was heading back overseas the following day, I can't imagine how tough that would be.  Thank you to him and all of the other young men and women serving our country.  I appreciate all that you do.

Big Boy Wyatt

I can't believe my little Wyatt is one, and that he is so HUGE!!  I remember holding him when he was only a day old and he was so tiny snuggled up in his little blanket.  Now he is walking and not so tiny!!  Mom invited the family and I to his party and asked me to snap a few pictures from the day.  I was happy to do so!  And he was a ham for the camera.  Everytime he saw the camera he began making faces and just being a little spit fire!  Love that little boy, his big sis, and his mommy too!!

GRRRRRRR!!!

OK, had to sneak one in of my little one and her smurfy mustache.

It was his party and he could certainly cry if he wanted to.

See, I told you he was teeny tiny!!

Here Comes The Bride

Wow!  I LOVE photographing weddings!  Alma and Branden hired me to capture their special day and I knew within the first few moments that this is where I was meant to be.  Being ther,e watching this couple commit their lives to one another was breath taking.  Being able to capture these moments is indescribable.  I met with Alma a couple of months before the big day and we talked about what she wanted.  She explained to me that her hair style would be similiar to that of Marilyn Monroe's and that they were going with a bit of mobster theme to include the groom in a zoot suit!  Also, as it would turn out this couple was doing something different with their flowers. All of the flowers were to be origami or made from paper in another way.  To top it all off they were to be married on May 1st, May Day!  They included a May Pole as part of their festivities!  Such incredible ideas that led to a very special and beautiful day for these newlyweds.  Thank you Alma & Branden for letting me share in your special day.

Baby Sophia Makes 5...

Generations that is!  What a rare occasion to be part off.  This sweet little girl allowed me the opportunity to be witness to a family event that is rare.  Five generations all alive and together on this earth at one time.  Great Grandma was in town from back East just in time to be part of the arrival of little Sophia.  I headed up to Tacoma and took picture in Grandma's house as well as out on her property.  Thank-you so much for letting me share your family for the day.

Four Generations

I want to start out by thanking the Hammons/McDevitt/Lomas family for being a return client of mine.  Nevermind that we have been friends for nearly 8 years or the fact that Kim was one of the contest winners awhile back.  She had told me before the contest took place that she wanted to book me for a photo session where her mom was in town.  So, we did just that.  Furthermore Kim has so far provided me with the most referred clientel.  Thank-you Kim!  I couldn't be doing this without you, or any of my other clients that refer me on a regular basis.  I had a great time around the Capitol Grounds with this entire family.  Here is some of what was captured!
